Community Health Improvement Coalition (CHIC) is forming now!
What is the CHIC?
The Community Health Improvement Coalition (CHIC) will include community members, Community Advisory Council members, and partners from different sectors. Members will be based on the key issues identified in the Community Health Assessment (CHA). We value the voices of all members of the community and welcome you to consider joining the work.
What will the CHIC do?
The CHIC’s main job is to guide and support the 2026-2030 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHP), which is a plan with strategies, actions, and measures to improve community health in Lane County. The CHIC's first task will be to help write the CHP. Here is a detailed timeline of the work the CHIC can expect to complete this year.
What will guide the CHIC's work?
Data collected from the CHA will be put into issue summaries. These summaries will need to be prioritized by the members of the CHIC which will help them understand the key focus areas for creating strategies and a workplan for the new 2026-2030 CHP. Stay tuned for the issue summaries which will be posted here and on the 2024 CHA page when ready.
